Vocabulary extra credit cards

On the front of a 3x5 index card:
1.write your name 2. write the word 3. write the word in syl-la-bles
4. write the part of speech of how the the word is used

On the back of the card:
1. write a synonym for the word 2. write the definition of the word
3. Write a sentence using the word correctly, and underline the word.
Make sure you capitalize and punctuate correctly, plus your work must be neat to get extra credit.

5.Write about a positive lesson. Type and double space (MLA format)
Think about a time where you over came something. Who helped you and what did you learn? Describe the situation and what the lesson was.

Thursday 9/8
1. Review and discuss homework.
2.Review Quiz and discuss terms and examples.
3.Grammar Quiz “Spell Checker”

Friday 9/10
1. Review quiz at the board.
2. Set up "Reading Cards" (10pts a day for book in class and reading the first tenminutes of class)
3. Review “Interest Cards”

Vocabulary starts Monday have your book in class everyday.
