Monday's Register EXTRA CREDIT

In the "Business Monday" section page 7 read "Survey: 1 in 4 workers admits being late once a month". Type a paragraph explaining what managers say about employees being late. Also would you still be working or would you have been given a pink slip for your tardiness to my class? (25 points - MLA style) Due Wednesday before the warning bell. - no late work

Also on page 10 read "Ten thought to help you be a bad writer". Then type the ten points and what the opposite action would be to be a good writer. Which of these points have we been working on this year?
(40 points - MLA style) Due Thursday 7:30am - no late work

Extra Credit - sixth grade vocabulary test at lunch Wednesday 12:20. No late entrance.

EXTRA CREDIT

There are three chances for extra credit this week. First, you can read "ONE DREAM HOME AT A TIME" in the Sunday front page section of THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER. Compare and contrast John McMonigle to yourself, how are you the same and how are you different? What is your dream and how are you working to make it come true? This must be typed MLA style and is due Tuesday 5/30 before class. No late work - before class and the warning bell!

Second, you can answer the Thinking throuh the Literature questions on page 794. Develop your answers with reference to the question without typing the question. This must be typed and is due at 7:30am Wednesday 5/31. No late work!

Third, you can answer the Literary Analysis questions on page 794. Treat each question as a questions to be written out, not discussed orally. This must be typed and fully develop each answer. This project is due Thursday at 7:35am. No late work!

It has and always will be up to you to get what you want out of life.

Happy Mother's Day --- Remember before you go to bed tell the person who brought you into the world, or the lady who has been there for you how special they are. We only have four weeks left of class time. I will not be taking any assignments late for the rest of the semester. Please finish what we have left to do and do it well. STAR Test Week / lessons for week 14 5/8-5/12

Last week you could have pick up 200 points in extra credit - new week new chances. You can answer the Blue questions in Act IV; follow MLA format. This is due Thursday by 7:30 am. No late work! Second you can write any word from your last vocabulary test that you missed with the definition each ten times each and use the word correctly in a sentence.
Good luck on the STAR Test - remember it goes on your permanent record and reflects on our school.
