5th week's lessons 10/1 - 10/5 - 2007

We are now half way into the first quarter, and I hope you are doing well in our class and at El Dorado. For extra credit (50 points) you may buy Tangerine, by Edward Bloor. It is the novel we will be reading this semester, and I know you will enjoy it.

Some of you did a great job on the Vocabulary Roots Test. It is great to know that I have solid students in my class. Once again you may see me about extra credit if you did not do well, but you must see me in the morning before school and before first period.

Today I attended a memorial service for Pete Liapis, my Fullerton Boys Club coach. What I remember most about Pete is that he was always there for everyone, like Pete I will be here for you, as well. He also made everyone feel special; I want you to know that all of you are very special and have the ability to do very well in this class.
