4th 1/4 - 13th week's Lessons - 4/27 - 5/1 - 2009

Hey, this week you will be taking the STAR test - do your best.

Magic Johnson paraphrased John F. Kennedy when he stated, "Ask not what your teammates can do for you. Ask what you can do for your teammates." Are you making our class more interesting? Are you sharing your ideas about our reading, and really getting involved in our discussions? President Woodrow Wilson asserted, "You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and to impoverish yourself if you forget the errand." Are you adding value to our class? If you are involved in our discussions and are raising your hand to answer my questions you may see me for up to three extra credit projects. Please don't ask if you are one of my "just along for the ride people".

4th 1/4 - week 12's lessons 4/20 - 4/24 - 2009

Novelist Charles Wilson says, "No matter the size of the bottle, the cream always rises to the top." Talent gives you a head start on others, but the advantage it gives lasts only a short time. Songwriter Irving Berlin understood this truth when he said, "The toughest thing about success is that you've got to keep on being a success. Talent is only a starting point in business. You've got to keep working that talent." As we finish the school year keep working your best. Please if you are having problems you need to see me. This week I will be gone Thursday and Friday to Ojai for a tennis tournament, so you need to see me before that.
Please check Aeries so you know where you are in this class; if you know your percentage you may see me for extra credit. This link should help you.
