We are finishing Tangerine in the next two weeks, and Robert Strauss stated, "Success is a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired - you quit when the gorilla is tired." For you this means you need to put two good weeks in on Tangerine if you want success in this unit. Also please check your S.S.Reading Points, you have until Thursday to make up any Reading Points. (You should have read 500 pages of you pleasure reading books.)

Thank you to those of you who brought cans for the canned food drive. This is a special time of the year as we move into the holiday season; I hope you have the ability to see real treasure and true value. You may see me for an extra credit reading for Thanksgiving vacation. You must read aloud "A Thanksgiving Fable for You and Your Family" in a family situation and bring back a note from one of your parents. See me for the rest of the details.

Activites for week eleven 11/14 - 11/18 - 2011

My childhood idol Willie Mays said, "What you are thinking, what shape your mind is in, is what makes the biggest difference of all." As we approach the holidays let's remember all we have and use all of our opportunities to get the most out of ourselves, and help those we can. If your grade is still not what you want you need to see me, so that I can help you earn what you want. We also are in the school wide can food drive which is an extra credit opportunity for you, the deadline is Thursday. Also you can earn ten points extra credit if you are in class at 8:10 to start your retest of last Thursday's vocabulary test. Review the packet very poor results - you have seen the test - let's do much better.
