Activities for week sixteen 1/3 - 1/6 - 2012

In his book My Personal Best, John Wooden writes, "There is a choice you have to make in everything you do, so keep in mind that in the end, the choice you make makes you." As we finish the first semester you can still raise your grade by doing well on your remaining assignments and making the choice to excel.

Please check Aeries and know your grade; if you are not at 100% in your reading points all you have to do is come in and read (10 points for ten minutes) (before school, break, or after school -see me for after school-).

Activities for week fifteen 12/12 - 12/16 - 2011

At some point in life, each of us struggles with three basic questions. The first is the question of existence: why am I alive? The second is the question of significance: does my life matter? And the third is the question of intention: what is my purpose? I want you to know you are alive because you are loved. Second I also want you to know your life matters. And finally your purpose is to be the best you can be and to continue to seek after what you were put here to be.

Activities for week fourteen 12/5 - 12/9 - 2011

As we move to Christmas - "do you know it is a party? It is a birthday party ... birthdays are meant to be celebrated. It's why we say 'Merry Christmas!'" stated Rick Warren. Let's work hard and enjoy the last weeks of school before vacation, then you can celebrate all the rest of this year. We will be working on our first full essay on Tangerine and it is worth 200 points.

Please check Aeries and know your grade in our class if you are not passing or have a 'D' you need to see me so we can find a way for you to improve. Finally, make sure your notebook is up to date.
