The first step in teachability is learning to listen. Henry David Thoreau wrote, "It takes two to speak the truth - one to speak and one to hear." Being a good listener helps us to know people better, to learn what they have learned, and to show them that we value them as individuals. I and Ms. Davilla value you as a student - come and talk to us, so we can know you better and help you more. As the old saying goes, "There's a reason you have one mouth but two ears." My childhood idol Willie Mays said, "What you are thinking, what shape your mind is in, is what makes the biggest difference of all." As we approach the holidays let's remember all we have and use all of our opportunities to get the most out of ourselves, and help those we can. If your grade is still not what you want you need to see me, so that I can help you earn what you want. We also are in the school wide can food drive which is an extra credit opportunity for you, the deadline is Thursday. Final do you have all your S.S.Reading points?
