3. Review "The Race" paragraph
4. Vocabulary – Read and do Part A pages XIV - 5 (homework)

Tuesday 9/12
1. Review Vocabulary and Portfolio are due in class
2. Read and discuss "Test Taking Tips and Tricks"
3. Vocabulary – Read, study and do Part B and C pages 6 - 12 (homework)

Wednesday 9/13
1. Review Vocabulary and have a vocabulary Bee
2. Pre-test literary Terms
3. Read Plainswoman Pages 8 – 19 (homework)
4. Study Prefixes and Suffixes --Test Friday

Thursday 9/14
1. Practice Vocabulary quiz
2. Lecture: Literary Terms (Make sure you have your spiral notebook in class)
3. Read and discuss the story, Plainswoman
4. Study for Vocabulary Test (homework)

Friday 9/15
1. Vocabulary Test (100 points)
2. Read and discuss The Plainswoman
