Week 17 Lesson's 5/29-6/1

Hello...this is Miss Howard, again! Great job last week, almost everyone turned in the Polyphemus poem completed and on time. You are capable of this standard of excellence all the time. We will begin your last major project of the year this week, "Create Your Own God/Goddess", which will be due the June 4th. On Thursday and Friday is the District In-Class Essay, which is also a class assignment for points. Make sure to continue working hard as we finish out the year.
Please check the Aries program for your grade; if you are not satisfied with your grade and want to work to raise it, you need to see Mr. Cyrus before Thursday.


Tuesday 5/29
1. Review Idiom Test and Vocabulary Unit 16 Test
2. Review Greek Myths
3. Begin "Create Your Own God/Goddess Project" (Worth 150 points)
4. Review Units 1-8 Standardized Vocabulary Test pages 179-182 (Homework- 45 Points)


Wednesday 5/27
1. Review Vocabulary 1-8
2. Discussions and Questions about "Create Your God/Goddess" Project
3. Review Odyssey Book 10 Study Guide
4. Show the Odyssey


Thursday 5/30
1. In-Class District Essay- You will be given a prompt in which you will write a compare and contrast essay (100 points)
2. Read Odyssey Book 12 (Homework)
3. Review Vocabulary 1-8 (Homework)


Friday 6/1
1. Finish In-Class District Essay
2. Review Vocabulary Unit 1-8 Test
3. Finish "Create Your God/Goddess" Project- DUE MONDAY 6/4
