Week two activities 9/13 - 9/18 - 2010

I am glad you are in my class, and I enjoyed our week together last week. This week we want to get going and start working on our reading, vocabulary, and writing. Do you have all your materials for class (SSR book, spiral notebook)? Charles Schulz stated "Life is a ten-speed bike. Most of us have gears we never use." This year let's see if both you and I can use all our gears. Remember - I will always be here in the mornings.

1. Check out Literature Books and setup Spiral Notebook
2. Lecture: Literary Terms
3. Read “Plainswoman” pages 8-19

Wednesday 9/15
1. Finish lecture
2. Read and discuss “Plainswoman” Pages 8 – 19
3. Study Prefixes –-- test 9/22

Thursday 9/17
1. Read and discuss story
2. Read College Syllabus
3. Study Prefixes and make note cards
4. Make and set up Portfolio

Friday 9/18
1. Read and discuss “The Plainswoman”
2. Portfolio due
3. Read and discuss a College Syllabus
